If you are like me juggling with work life and personal life, hitting the gym after work might not be an easy option. I know, I tried. Took my membership, went to the class… Rushing after work, rushing after the class, no shower to be home quickly to be on time to have dinner with my kid, give her bath, help with her homework…. Trying hard to keep it going and then ending by paying the membership and not going….
But working out is essential to get to the healthy life.
At 45 years old this is the time for me to change or I will be in trouble within the next 10 years. I am not doing this to get slimmer but I need to be in charge of my body if I want to be able to live painless and longer.
Anyway, all this to say that the only way for me is to workout at home in order to be efficient – 30 minutes, 4/5 times per week. My aim is to work out mobility and flexibility.
I started to follow some very good PT on instagram, most of them offer you personal training for the gym and some offers PT at home. My favourite and the one I have followed for 12 weeks is Shona Vertue 12 weeks fitness program .

Perfect program for all level of fitness and trust me my level was pretty low. There is a community called the Vertue crew which communicate through a Facebook group exclusively for people who signed up the program. There’s some real motivation there. Shona also has a Youtube channel so before you commit to the program try her plans on Youtube. The program is really good, designed to fit your week with 30 daily minutes exercise which changed every two weeks. A resting day in the middle, an outdoor walk and Yoga. The program is called the mobility program (we’ll talk about this later). You can do it everywhere, at home, hotel, on holiday work trip…. I have personally done it while I was travelling with my mum and my daughter and it worked perfectly fine. What you need is a fitness band, one or two kettle bells and a chair.
